A pesticide may be made, packed or distributed only if registered and licensed by the Registrar of Pesticides, in an approved container with an approved label (s. 14).
What is wrong
- Selling unregistered or fake pesticides
- Importing without the Registrar's written approval (s. 17)
- Selling repacked or unlabelled containers
- Labels without Sinhala, Tamil and English particulars (s. 8)
What happens next
Complaints go to the Registrar of Pesticides. Offences are tried in the Magistrate's Court (s. 24).
The punishment
- Breaking the Act is an offence; imprisonment and/or fine set by the Act (s. 24)
- The court may order the pesticides forfeited (s. 25)
What you can do
- Buy from licensed dealers; check the registration number on the label
- Follow label directions and wear protection
- Store away from children, food and water
- Report suspect products to the Registrar of Pesticides

පැමිණිලි පළිබෝධනාශක රෙජිස්ට්රාර් වෙත යයි. වැරදි මහේස්ත්රාත් අධිකරණයේ විභාග කෙරේ (24 වගන්තිය).

- පනත කඩ කිරීම වරදකි; පනතෙන් නියම කළ සිරදඬුවම සහ/හෝ දඩය (24 වගන්තිය)
- පළිබෝධනාශක රාජසන්තක කිරීමට අධිකරණයට නියෝග කළ හැක (25 වගන්තිය)

- බලපත්රලාභී වෙළෙන්දන්ගෙන් මිලදී ගන්න; ලේබලයේ ලියාපදිංචි අංකය බලන්න

பீடைகொல்லிகளை வாங்குதலும் விற்றலும்
விதி
பீடைகொல்லிப் பதிவாளரால் பதிவு செய்யப்பட்டு உரிமம் பெற்று, அங்கீகரிக்கப்பட்ட கொள்கலனில் அங்கீகரிக்கப்பட்ட சீட்டுடன் இருந்தால் மட்டுமே பீடைகொல்லியை உற்பத்தி, பொதி, விநியோகம் செய்யலாம் (பிரிவு 14).
தவறு என்ன
- பதிவு செய்யப்படாத அல்லது போலிப் பீடைகொல்லிகளை விற்றல்
- பதிவாளரின் எழுத்துமூல அங்கீகாரமின்றி இறக்குமதி (பிரிவு 17)
- மீள்பொதி செய்த அல்லது சீட்டில்லாத கொள்கலன்களை விற்றல்
- சிங்களம், தமிழ், ஆங்கில விபரங்கள் இல்லாத சீட்டுகள் (பிரிவு 8)
அடுத்து என்ன நடக்கும்
முறைப்பாடுகள் பீடைகொல்லிப் பதிவாளருக்குச் செல்லும். குற்றங்கள் நீதவான் நீதிமன்றத்தில் விசாரிக்கப்படும் (பிரிவு 24).
தண்டனை
- சட்டத்தை மீறுவது குற்றம்; சட்டம் நிர்ணயிக்கும் சிறை மற்றும்/அல்லது தண்டம் (பிரிவு 24)
- பீடைகொல்லிகளைப் பறிமுதல் செய்ய நீதிமன்றம் கட்டளையிடலாம் (பிரிவு 25)
