Sri Lankan citizens get passports from the Department of Immigration and Emigration under the Immigrants and Emigrants Act.
What is wrong
- Giving false details or documents
- Holding two Sri Lankan passports at once
- Paying touts or agents to jump the queue
- Using another person's passport
What happens next
Immigration checks your documents and fingerprints. False applications can be refused and referred to police.
The punishment
False statements and passport misuse are offences under the Act, punishable by fine and/or imprisonment.
What you can do
- Bring your NIC and original birth certificate
- Apply online or at the head office or a regional office
- Choose normal or one-day service; check the current fee on immigration.gov.lk
- Children need a parent's consent
- Report a lost passport to police first

වැරැද්ද කුමක්ද
- අසත්ය තොරතුරු හෝ ලේඛන දීම
- එකවර ශ්රී ලංකා ගමන් බලපත්ර දෙකක් තබා ගැනීම
- පෝලිම මඟහැරීමට තැරැව්කරුවන්ට ගෙවීම
- වෙනත් අයෙකුගේ ගමන් බලපත්රය භාවිතය
ඊළඟට සිදුවන්නේ
ආගමන දෙපාර්තමේන්තුව ඔබේ ලේඛන සහ ඇඟිලි සලකුණු පරීක්ෂා කරයි. ව්යාජ අයදුම්පත් ප්රතික්ෂේප කර පොලිසියට යොමු කළ හැක.
දඬුවම
අසත්ය ප්රකාශ සහ ගමන් බලපත්ර අනිසි භාවිතය පනත යටතේ දඩ සහ/හෝ සිර දඬුවම් ලැබිය හැකි වැරදි වේ.

- ජාතික හැඳුනුම්පත සහ මුල් උප්පැන්න සහතිකය රැගෙන එන්න
- මාර්ගගතව හෝ ප්රධාන කාර්යාලයේ හෝ ප්රාදේශීය කාර්යාලයක අයදුම් කරන්න
- සාමාන්ය හෝ එක්දින සේවය තෝරන්න; වත්මන් ගාස්තුව immigration.gov.lk හි බලන්න
- දරුවන්ට දෙමාපිය කැමැත්ත අවශ්යයි
- නැතිවූ ගමන් බලපත්රයක් පළමුව පොලිසියට දන්වන්න

இலங்கைப் பிரஜைகள் குடிவரவு குடியகல்வுச் சட்டத்தின் கீழ் குடிவரவு குடியகல்வுத் திணைக்களத்திடமிருந்து கடவுச்சீட்டுப் பெறுவர்.
தவறு என்ன
- தவறான விவரங்கள் அல்லது ஆவணங்கள் வழங்குதல்
- ஒரே நேரத்தில் இரண்டு இலங்கைக் கடவுச்சீட்டுகள் வைத்திருத்தல்
- வரிசையைத் தாண்டத் தரகர்களுக்குப் பணம் கொடுத்தல்
- வேறொருவரின் கடவுச்சீட்டைப் பயன்படுத்துதல்
அடுத்து என்ன நடக்கும்
குடிவரவுத் திணைக்களம் ஆவணங்களையும் கைரேகைகளையும் சோதிக்கும். போலி விண்ணப்பங்கள் நிராகரிக்கப்பட்டுப் பொலிஸுக்கு அனுப்பப்படலாம்.
தண்டனை
தவறான அறிக்கைகளும் கடவுச்சீட்டு முறைகேடும் சட்டத்தின் கீழ் தண்டப்பணம் மற்றும்/அல்லது சிறைத் தண்டனைக்குரிய குற்றங்கள்.
நீங்கள் செய்யக்கூடியவை
- தேசிய அடையாள அட்டையும் மூலப் பிறப்புச் சான்றிதழும் கொண்டு வாருங்கள்
- இணையத்தில் அல்லது தலைமை அலுவலகம் அல்லது பிராந்திய அலுவலகத்தில் விண்ணப்பியுங்கள்
- சாதாரண அல்லது ஒருநாள் சேவையைத் தேர்ந்தெடுங்கள்; தற்போதைய கட்டணத்தை immigration.gov.lk இல் பாருங்கள்
- பிள்ளைகளுக்குப் பெற்றோர் சம்மதம் தேவை
- தொலைந்த கடவுச்சீட்டை முதலில் பொலிஸுக்கு அறிவியுங்கள்
